Facilities

The kennel has 65 indoor/outdoor runs divided into three wings, small, medium and large. Sunchaser is situated on 28 picturesque acres, high on a ridge just outside Libertytown, MD, on Route 26. (Click on the various pictures to see larger versions.)

The buildings are heated and air conditioned. The emphasis is giving each pet extensive outdoor time in their own outside area, weather permitting. Being able to move freely from inside to outside is a great stress reliever for any dog.

The light and airy inside runs are a combination of 4ft. block wall and 1in. steel fence, offering each pet privacy. Bedding is always provided. Inside runs vary in size from 4ft. x 4ft. to 6ft. x 6ft., with a 10ft. or 12ft. individual concrete slab run outside each run.

Fencing is 8ft. high, 1in. mesh so tiny dogs will not catch their paws. The entire perimeter is surrounded by a secure set of fences offering complete security.

Four Small play yards and one 75ft x 100ft play yard provide ample space for outside exercise. Exercise is given daily for every pet.

Because the kennel sits high on a ridge, it always has a cool, light breeze. Lots of windows provide extra ventilation and sunshine.
